Skincare HELP!!

Getting more interested in make-up/beauty has led me to also get into skincare. Currently, I am using Clarins skincare regime.

However, I do not really like it. I have a very oily t-zone/chin area, and then the rest of my face is pretty dry/combination.
If I could pick one problem with my skin, it would be black heads/ large pores! I cannot stand it.

This is why I need your help!

What I am looking to buy:
-a cleanser
-a toner
-a moisturizer
-a facial mask to use several times in the week

Here are some of the products I have heard good things about, are they??
Skincare BrushHope in a JarPurity Made SimpleGentle Daily WashWrinkle Revenge 1 Facial CleanserBrightening Cleanser

I have heard mix reviews on Clinique, and also I am looking to stay in the same line (I heard mixing and matching can be bad)
Also, I have been and am still a little bit, an avid tanner. I am in my 20s and therefore think I need to use a serum/ anti-aging product as well??

Please let me know what you think I should use, what I should avoid using, etc.

Lip Art..

What is lip art you say? Well.. I think these pictures will speak louder than the words I would use to explain:

leopard, lips, kiss, lip, random, icon, use, edit, edited, picnik

watermelon lip (left) and kiwi lip (right)

Candy Lip

Adorable lip painting!

How amazing is this!? I don't know if I would wear lip art out, but I would sure love to try creating looks for fun!

What do you think about lip art!?

I love packages..

So I love online shopping! Whether I am just browsing, or actually making a purchase, it is one of my favorite things to do in my free-computer time haha
Anytime I actually go into a store, I always think, "I wish I was just online shopping instead" -- I really don't buy a lot, so when I do, I want to make sure what I get is perfect.
The one thing I like about going into a store is when shopping for clothes-- that way you can get the right size and make sure it looks nice on (let's face it, something can look great on the hanger and hideous on, and vice versa)

So I placed an order online and anxiously awaited the box..

My three samples-- yet to try

Sephora included this lovely "Best Sellers" pamphlet-- it was great! I now have many things on my wish list, haha

NARS!!

2 eyeshadow duos and a lipgloss:

"Cheyanne" on the left & "Wicked" on the right

"Wicked" is a lovely light yellow/green. I am not completely sure what I will use this color for yet, but it is unique. The color on the left, is a lovely white color. I LOVE it! It is going to be an amazing highlighter.

"Cheyanne" really surprised me! On the surface, both the colors look like they would come off exactly how they appear in the pan. However, the orange color on the left comes off less orange and more neutral. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely orange. However, it will act as a great color to mix with a brown-ish eyeshadow to really open-up and make my blue eyes stand out. The color on the right is what I was most impressed with! It appears completely burgandy in the pan and I was a little worried once I ordered it that I already have a MAC color nearly identical. Nope! This color comes off a rustic burgandy/ brown-- it shows a little on my finger, and I LOVE it! I will definitely have to do some EOTD's for you all!

"All night long" is an amazing color! I didn't know if this would be too dark, however once applied, it is sheer and adds just a bit of color to my lips. It is a nice everyday color that is not too much, though not too little- it is a "I tried, but not too hard" kind of look! haha

Do you like NARS? If so, what are some of your favorite NARS products!?

Mac & Sephora Gift Cards

Over at Expensive Pink's blog, she is holding a giveaway for her followers to win Sephora or Mac gift cards. To learn more and enter go to:

I'm a Sucker for Cute Packaging..

Well I don't know about you, but I am a sucker for packaging.
I'm also a sucker for great deals, coupons, whatever it is! I always say that I am the ultimate person to market to because I fall for it every time.

For this reason, I wanted to post some cosmetic items that I have considered buying simply for the cute packaging. Yes, I may like the product inside as well, but if not for the packaging, I honestly might have never taken a second look at these items.

How about you all, do you fall for the packaging?
& if any of you have used these items and want to tell me how the actual product is, please comment me below :)

I actually own this palette! I love it! I really wanted to try Urban Decay eyeshadow and when I found this palette, I fell in love! I LOVE animals and this palette is animal-friendly/vegan-all products are made without animal testing or with ANY products made from animals. I am a complete advocate against testing cosmetics on animals, or hurting them to make make-up!
Not only is this palette super cute, along with the rest of UD's packaging I must say, it is for a great cause!

Urban Decay Vegan Palette 5 Urban Decay Fall Collection 2010: Urban Decay Vegan Palette

This palette sat in my shopping cart for months! I kept debating whether I should purchase this product simply because I LOVED the packaging. I have never tried Josie Maran products, but once again, it is all natural and animal friendly, and I have heard GREAT things.
After re-viewing these pictures, I may have to purchase-eek!

Tarina Tarantino: light pink is the main color in the collection- that is how you KNOW it is going to be good :)

From Urban Outfitters beauty:
Paul and Joe! They have one of the cutest make-up lines in my opinion--

Look how pretty! The packaging, the actual make-up and YES, that is a cat lipstick! I would buy it, however the mere fact that it is so cute shaped like that would lead me to never use it!

& Finally from Sephora and what I think is the biggest marketing scheme amongst cosmetic/beauty products: cute bottles for perfume-- (all from Sephora.com)

Winter Wonderland or Cold, Icy Snow!!

I am SO sorry for the lack of posts lately-- I always want to make sure I put a lot of thought and effort into my posts, and lately, I have just not had the time!
University work is really kicking my butt and I must attend to my studies first and foremost. However, Seattle is having a lovely snow storm (and when I say snow storm, I mean less than 2 inches!) Seattle is a great city, but when snow hit everyone jumps for joy and classes are cancelled. We hardly ever get snow so when we do, the city is not properly equipped to deal with it and things are hectic. (in 2008 there was actually LOTS of snow and people were locked in their houses for dayyyyz, when they would venture out, cars were sliding all over the place and it was a mess -- I would include some photos below)
However, I am not complaining that one of my classes and papers got postponed until after Thanksgiving :)
I decided to give my blog some attention in light of this great news and extra time!

& I will leave you with some pictures of Seattle snow as well as the 2008 snowstorm,--

MAC Haulage & MAC Zoom Mascara Review

This past week I received a package in the mail....

 Lookie what is inside!

Oh yes! 3 MAC Zoom lash mascaras! Not 1, not 2, but 3!! Normally I wouldn't buy this many at once, but the other day, for one day only, Nordstrom had a buy 2, get 1 mascara free! Online the selection was much more limited, but if you went in-store most (if not all) mascaras were eligible for this deal. I would have informed you all about this great deal, however by the time I got the email and placed my order, it was really late :l
So most people dislike MAC mascaras-- and from personal experience, for the heftier price than say, a drugstore, they weren't that great! That is why, though I have been using MAC for years, I haven't bought a mascara from them for quite some time. However, when I went to get my make-up done for the Venomous Villains promotion event, they were re-promoting this product, and I instantly fell in love♥

Naturally, I have longer lashes, however I am always craving volume! With only one coat, I get a long, voluminzed look, however this is with 2+ coats (I was going out for the night) and I felt like I was wearing falsies!
I have been wanting to try the YSL Faux Cils mascara or the Diorshow black mascara, however with half the cost and a great result- I thought I would try this instead! I am really glad I did!

The product I got is actually MAC ZOOM fast LASH, which is a darker black and newer version of the ZOOM LASH-- I am liking it so far! The one thing I forgot about MAC mascaras is the alcohol-like, overwhelming smell, however once on it doesn't smell and makes my lashes look amazing if I do say so myself ;)

With buy 2, get 1 free at $14.00 each, each one came out to be $9.33 + tax (which in Washington state is the HIGHEST ever)
Good deal!! Looks like my "back-up" drawer is getting bigger by the minute.
I know that mascara is only good for a certain amount of time, however if it is unopened, it will last longer AND my lashes are pretty long so I go through it pretty quickly.

What kind of mascara do you like to use?
