Some of the benefits are also said to include: flexibility, weight loss, stress relief, boost your immune system, help with aches, injuries, and arthritis, and increased athletic performance</div><div align="center"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">Well.. I was just on Hautelook.com & saw that they were offering a year subscription for 1 year for only $7.97 or something ridiculous like that! (yes, if you hurry it may still be there).</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Well after impulsively buying magazines at the grocery store, only more recently realizing that I buy a magazine for $4.00, when I could do subscriptions and get them EVERY month (& I do LOVE to get mail); a subscription is definitely the way to go!</div><div style="text-align: center;">In fact, I even considered buying an IPad in order to save costs on magazines in the long-run (I believe that they offer magazine issues for 99 cents or something) and then I could end up saving money and the IPad would end up paying for itself! Well.. I found out that the IPad required monthly wireless internet payments as well as a hefty $800.00 or so price tag! Nuts! I know they just came out with the IPad II, so maybe eventually I will be able to afford an IPad and figure out the logistics of purchasing magazines on one.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Until then, my lovely Lucky year-long Magazine subscription will do just fine :)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><a class="ss" href="http://igossip.com/gossip/Diane_Kruger-10/643284"><img alt="Diane Kruger Covers Lucky Magazine" height="400" src="http://static.igossip.com/photos/Just_Jared_Diane_Kruger_30464_diane_kruger_lucky_magazine_june_2009.jpg" title="Diane Kruger Covers Lucky Magazine" width="291" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">Typically I do not "search" out bags; I usually on rare occassion just purchase a new one.</div><div style="text-align: center;">However, although I ADORE my black Longchamp that I use for school, with the upcoming season I would LOVE to find a lighter, more appropriate-for-the-weather satchel.</div><div style="text-align: center;">This is where this post comes in..</div><div style="text-align: center;">After pondering the perfect bag, I decided that this would be it:<br />
<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><strong>Miu Miu</strong><strong><br />
</strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJOkW_Udf993H_OObQH0xct5Yyyq81UNT5CDC89IvRgelKlqXRHz4h3IASbTr8EtP2hRXukYkT5onA0hkd3AXSbZCTO60am5CSs6G0xE-PXMgA0hZ2QksDYHUYwlnBpEbMhlKmwVOB2iT9/s1600/tumblr_liokyaYVgF1qaoe19o1_400.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJOkW_Udf993H_OObQH0xct5Yyyq81UNT5CDC89IvRgelKlqXRHz4h3IASbTr8EtP2hRXukYkT5onA0hkd3AXSbZCTO60am5CSs6G0xE-PXMgA0hZ2QksDYHUYwlnBpEbMhlKmwVOB2iT9/s1600/tumblr_liokyaYVgF1qaoe19o1_400.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Well.. although I am not precisely sure of the price tag, I can assure you that it is in the steep hundreds, if not low thousand dollar range; and that is simply not within my budget. Not even close.</div><div style="text-align: center;">It is so unfortunate that such a lovely bag is so <u>expensive</u>. Granted, the item is a luxury piece and thus should be treated like one by having a high price, it sucks to be a college student wanting this purse.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Well.. all I can do is shrug my shoulders, think "too bad," and find another option.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Sincerely,</div><div style="text-align: center;">..continuing my hunt for the perfect Spring/Summer bag</div>Pearls & Politicshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15649192125135290199noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1968527822486368455.post-26792924609144965992011-03-26T14:53:00.000-07:002011-03-26T14:53:47.108-07:00Spring/Summer Uniform<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">denim cut-offfs + matching leather (faux preferably) belt & side satchel + light cardigan + loose tee + accesories = PERFECTION</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO8bAyEc9lFI9ezMUX17-CL14xOJ4ocEAlqri7eUwZm2ph6nnp3qqtCuhgm2S7vjqt3COYDepuKHAG5Xp07j68bgwGwe108IHHF6ZZsS9j0APEXIX2FNCqZ1grrSlaehIpHRjFHVWufMY-/s1600/tumblr_lhf966uKcl1qbkgcxo1_500.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO8bAyEc9lFI9ezMUX17-CL14xOJ4ocEAlqri7eUwZm2ph6nnp3qqtCuhgm2S7vjqt3COYDepuKHAG5Xp07j68bgwGwe108IHHF6ZZsS9j0APEXIX2FNCqZ1grrSlaehIpHRjFHVWufMY-/s1600/tumblr_lhf966uKcl1qbkgcxo1_500.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I absolutely adore this look and am officially on the hunt for a similiar look to make this my Spring/ Summer uniform!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong>If any of you have any suggestion where I can find these items (especially the light, lightweight cardigan) please let me know :)</strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

(new nail post!!)1) I know it has been nearly forever and a day since I have last post (well ok.. my last post wasn't too long ago; but my posting HAS been few and far in between<br />
2) I am turning the big <strong>21</strong> at the end of the week and I am SO excited I cannot hardly wait!<br />
3) This post is all about my new nails! Yes I am speaking about them as if they are themselves alive because well.. they are a lovely new set of acrylics!<br />
Funny story.. I wanted acrylic nails desparately (I used to get them for years!) & I was planning on waiting. BUT, my good friend came into class and I spotted her fingers: and that was not it! They were graced with lovely white-tip acrylics with a flower--guess how much!? $20 bucks! So what did I do.. I figured, 1) well it is my birthday soon 2) I have really been wanting acrylics 3) it is cheaper than usual! & 4) I was planning to paint my nails a lovely shade of pink anyhoo and because my real nails were seriously slackin' I figured, what the heck!? (speaking of which, my boyfriend is giving up swearing for lent and it is super funny because he is not good at it! Swearing is icky but I admit, we both do it on occasion -- slap on the wrist for us!)<br />
<br />
Anyway.. back to the fun part!<br />
My nails against my pillows! I noticed they matched and thought I HAD to post about it!<br />
HOPE YOU LIKE :D<br />

After dragging my boyfriend along, we were in the movie and I couldn't help but keep cracking up. The movie had so many funny moments! During my laughter, this is when my boyfriend proceeded to tell me that this was "supposed" to be a scary movie and begged me to leave. We decided to stay and at the end I thought that yes, it was not the best movie, but I thought that is was ok all in all. However, SPOILER: I did NOT think that it was acceptable that the crazy girl, aka "the roommate" aka Leighton Meester killed the kitty!! She put it in the dryer!! It was awful!</div><div style="text-align: center;">Anyway--to the good of the movie: <strong><u>the clothes!</u></strong></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img alt="The Roommate, Leighton Meester, Minka Kelly, movie, preview, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2010" height="400" src="http://yahoo-movies.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/wpid-the-roommate-280295.jpg" title="The Roommate" width="379" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">This movie took place at a "fashion school" and both had simple, yet chic clothing!</div><div style="text-align: center;">I loved the t-shirts, jeans, scarves, hats, etc.</div><div style="text-align: center;">In fact, I am pretty sure one of the first scenes that it shows of the actress Minka Kelly, you see her butt in her cute 7 jeans!! Love :)</div><div style="text-align: center;">Anyway..</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have tried looking for some photos from the movie and also where some of these items can be found. I haven't found much in the latter, however <strong>if you have any ideas where any of the clothing from the movie can be found: please let me know! :)</strong></div><a href="http://bloximages.chicago2.vip.townnews.com/azstarnet.com/content/tncms/assets/editorial/5/4a/13c/54a13c34-4c4e-51d4-9b80-5ba1c21ad8e2-revisions/4d499e5e31152.image.jpg" rel="facebox"></a>Pearls & Politicshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15649192125135290199noreply@blogger.com66tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1968527822486368455.post-91138223608775558952011-03-01T11:03:00.000-08:002011-03-01T11:03:29.524-08:00I Know.. & Help me pick my Outfit!!I know, I know! I have been MIA for quite some time .. :l :( I have been SO busy with school and scheduling for next quarter that I have hardly any free time. Also<strong>, does anyone know why my blogger feed only shows like 10 blogs!?</strong> It used to scroll through them all, but not lately :l<br />
However, the main, more important part of this post that I am asking for <strong>YOUR help</strong> on is in regard to <u>my 21st birthday coming up!!</u> I am SO very excited!<br />
So far I plan to do a dinner with my close friends and everyone I know that is still not 21, and then hit the bars!<br />
So far, I have bought a lovely silver, strapless dress (& I am in love!)<br />
I told one of my BFs that I didn't want to look too "prom" and she said, "girl, it's your birthday! you can look however you want"!! I definitely took in that advice and feel so much better!<br />
My dress looks similiar to this:<br />
<img alt="Bryce Dallas Howard at the Jimmy Kimmel Live studios in Los Angeles, California on June 14, 2010." id="media_photo_element" src="http://www3.images.coolspotters.com/photos/342969/bryce-dallas-howard-and-lela-rose-fall-2010-rtw-grey-strapless-dress-gallery.png" style="height: 542px; width: 470px;" title="Bryce Dallas Howard at the Jimmy Kimmel Live studios in Los Angeles, California on June 14, 2010." /><br />
Well actually-- my dress is more silver with a silky material. Also, it is not AS tight as this, but is strapless and has some sort of puffy design like this dress. Also, it has a lovely print (reminds me of leopard)!<br />
<strong>HERE IS WHERE I NEED YOUR HELP!</strong><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I need to know how to accesorize/ what shoes to wear!?</span><br />
Thus far, I was thinking about wearing these rhinestone, silver shoes I actually did wear for prom one year. I haven't tried them with the dress yet so am not completely sure.<br />
Also, I am thinking of wearing earrings like this:<br />
<div id="bigImageContainer"><img alt="Silver Rhinestone Hoop..." id="catalogItemBigImg" src="http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/b5/4/AAAAAgwGvtEAAAAAALVLog.jpg?v=1198036975000" width="300" /></div><div>Not too big, not too small.</div><div>Also, I am thinking that I may have a "birthday girl" sash/ crown and maybe I could play up the accesories/ shoes with that!? Lots of them have hot pink of them, so I was thinking I could get hot pink shoes?</div><div>UGH I just don't know so please ladies (or guys too) let me know YOUR feedback :)</div>Pearls & Politicshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15649192125135290199noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1968527822486368455.post-23541632184043434752011-01-30T23:33:00.000-08:002011-01-31T00:09:42.910-08:00Diane von Furstenberg<div align="center"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: large;">Do you have brands that you just go gaga over, yet they are so expensive that you know you will just have to keep looking!?</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Well that is how I am with <strong>Diane con Furstenberg</strong> and her items!</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Arial;">However, I spotted these lovely leopard print glasses and definitely will be adding them to my "wish" list.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg49irhTvdmhCgKyn3gVMBA9nb7Zuaa0DKBSjLT7-uWh6UwCiQ8mrlWNx55bXpDczyBac_pxoAiofl1_dDl4T60yM2dr9FJBiYH9XKhr2fBLemUcFyQkcVzsRNNtH71Au0z370xDdEoxQEx/s1600/glasses.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" s5="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg49irhTvdmhCgKyn3gVMBA9nb7Zuaa0DKBSjLT7-uWh6UwCiQ8mrlWNx55bXpDczyBac_pxoAiofl1_dDl4T60yM2dr9FJBiYH9XKhr2fBLemUcFyQkcVzsRNNtH71Au0z370xDdEoxQEx/s400/glasses.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div align="center"><br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So I am getting excited because though my blog tends to go unattended during the weekdays (sorry! :l) each Tuesday and Thursday I get the pleasure of having a class with several girls that dress fantastic!! One girl in particular, ALWAYS wears the cutest sweaters. I will be posting about those later.. However, though the girls in my class dress beautifully, I have discovered a new eagerness to enter the building where I have my class because other girls too, dress so nice! Like I have said before--at my school I feel like I often don't relate to many of girls' fashion choice; however last week one girl was walking by and had a very similiar outfit to this one:</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPGC_tC5IDCP0mtZqV6r02bRy-tMwwAvfY9NiPn0Temv_upuCorL_B2nlOB92WNrNSS-6C3HIhHN740YDAOFzQwIHZR8Iedze2S1ulucOPP3DWK5HmRQeXfCi0kR8TAHLMY6K45-xzu55-/s1600/polyvore.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="357" s5="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPGC_tC5IDCP0mtZqV6r02bRy-tMwwAvfY9NiPn0Temv_upuCorL_B2nlOB92WNrNSS-6C3HIhHN740YDAOFzQwIHZR8Iedze2S1ulucOPP3DWK5HmRQeXfCi0kR8TAHLMY6K45-xzu55-/s400/polyvore.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">To elaborate on this outfit a little more, she was wearing a black sweater, such as the one above. She was also wearing black, lace tights with knee high black socks over them! This is a combo. I would have never thought of, but let's face it, it's adorable!! (in my opinion at least ;D) She was wearing a simply black flat (which I really liked because this is my preferred shoe!). Also, with her black sweater- she had a pretty infinity scarf! I paired this outfit with a cheetah/leopard infinity scarf that had some black in it, however I am simply blanking on the design of hers! Even if you do not own an infinity scarf: a trick to use to create one is by taking a regular scarf, taking the two ends and then a hair tie/ elastic. You then tie the two ends together (in a small bow) and when you wear it, make sure to keep this side at the nape of your neck. Also, wrap the scarf around your neck twice, and the second wrap-around will cover up the back also :)</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">I hope that made sense!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Oh, and lastly this stylish girl had light, denim shorts! I have mixed feelings about denim shorts + tights, however the sweater was long enough for the shorts to peek out only a tad--</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">I basically have this outfit except for the shorts--so maybe if I find a pair I will be able to recreate this look!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">I will keep you all updated :)</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: large;"><strong>Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!!</strong></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong>XXOOPearls&Politics</strong></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family: Arial;">p.s. I used this amazing site called Polyvore to create the image above. If you haven't checked it out before- I definitely would because it is free and the database of clothing is practically infinite! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">I thought that this pink is perfect for this time of year because it is not too light as if it were Spring/Summer, and it is not too dark like the typical Fall/Winter color (I am SO tired of the wet, cold, and dark days!)</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">This color is actually very unique because in person it has a tiny bit of an iridescent shine to it with these lovely colors as shown in the photo below:</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e6/Soap_Bubble_-_foliage_background_-_iridescent_colours_-_Traquair_040801.jpg"><img alt="File:Soap Bubble - foliage background - iridescent colours - Traquair 040801.jpg" height="233" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e6/Soap_Bubble_-_foliage_background_-_iridescent_colours_-_Traquair_040801.jpg/800px-Soap_Bubble_-_foliage_background_-_iridescent_colours_-_Traquair_040801.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: xx-small;">image from: </span><a href="http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Soap_Bubble_-_foliage_background_-_iridescent_colours_-_Traquair_040801.jpg"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: xx-small;">http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Soap_Bubble_-_foliage_background_-_iridescent_colours_-_Traquair_040801.jpg</span></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

However, I thought to myself, "Why not just try it on?"</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">After doing so, and loving it even more, I decided to put it back on the rack and walk away.. self-restraint.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Then, right after finals I went to the mall with one of my friends and told her I was thinking about purchasing this lovely, though pricey sweater for an "end of the quarter, congrats on finishing" gift to myself. Thankfully, my friend convinced me to just wait. Her reasoning however went strictly beyond the price. She thought it was kind of ugly! haha</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Anyway.. while stalking the Nordstrom website, as I often do, I saw this lovely piece on sale for 40% off!! I was beyond ecstatic!!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">I placed my order and received it in the mail the other day!</span></div><br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong>What about you, do you own or desire any faux fur items?</strong></span></div>Pearls & Politicshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15649192125135290199noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1968527822486368455.post-42950618233758090922011-01-16T16:15:00.000-08:002011-01-16T16:15:53.490-08:00This or That: Watch Style<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Since I can remember, I have wanted a <u>Marc Jacobs watch</u>. Years ago when this became a lust of mine, I thought to myself, "well, this is such an expensive item, and would it really be a timeless piece to purchase?"</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Now probably about, at least 10 years later, I think it would have been an investment years ago.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">However, I have finally decided that I may just purchase the watch [or receive it for an upcoming birthday present ;)], however I am not sure which color: gold or silver, to get.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong>This is where I need your help!</strong></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">I intend to wear this watch often, however not everyday. Also, I feel like I like silver for jewelry more, but I am always wearing gold! The one ring I wear everyday is silver, however when I add more statement pieces, those are gold. I also tend to wear silver earrings more.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">I know that mixing metal is cute, (I've always been a fan), however I really want to purchase a watch that will stay consistent and look cute with the majority of my outfits.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Overall, looking at these watches, I would love to pair it with bangles.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Also, I feel like the gold is prettier, but maybe the silver is more practical!?</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong>I simply don't know.. and that is why I would LOVE your advice!!</strong></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPxuJgZnJAOEjDg5uKMV0EM4TjdQJphRjVRDTedA7tbLlpSB7TW5k2q0niD4pRSxrFKmgfGWbWDfKmepTJQqCoEYmE2XWhW8EogdU82858G9RUy5h7fAlFc0JAwkLGbygAiZL5KR9-ctpv/s1600/watches.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPxuJgZnJAOEjDg5uKMV0EM4TjdQJphRjVRDTedA7tbLlpSB7TW5k2q0niD4pRSxrFKmgfGWbWDfKmepTJQqCoEYmE2XWhW8EogdU82858G9RUy5h7fAlFc0JAwkLGbygAiZL5KR9-ctpv/s1600/watches.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
